Day 6 - In Chicago - (6/18/2006)

Sunday, June 18th

Luckily, I had most of the car packed before it started to pour Sunday morning in Chicago, just as I was leaving. I left the Van Vorst home around 7AM and headed northwest on I-90. It rained pretty hard all the way up to Madison. By Wisconsin Dells the skies had opened up and within an hour the sun was shining brightly. I had thought about taking I-90 through LaCrosse on the way back because of all the construction on I-94. I dediced to take I-94 through Eau Claire and luckily there was only one construction segment where I had to slow down to 55.

I made it back home by 1400 hours. I didn’t hear anything interesting on the fire radio on the return trip. It had been another fun trip to the Windy City, but all too short of a trip for me. I wish I could have spent more time in Chicago, but that’s the way it goes sometimes.

I hope you enjoyed the report and photos.
